Qui est Allan ?
“Je m’appelle Allan Asle. Je suis comédien et aventurier. J’ai grandi à 1300 mètres d’altitude au cœur des montagnes helvétiques, à Villars-sur-Ollon.
Passionné par les sports extrêmes, j’intègre à l’adolescence l’équipe Suisse de ski freestyle. A 18 ans, je fais mon école de recrue militaire Suisse dans une troupe d’élite en tant qu’explorateur. A 19 ans, j’obtiens mon brevet de pilote et développe ma passion du ciel. La même année, je m’envole pour New York et étudie le théâtre, mon autre obsession. 4 ans plus tard et diplômé de la prestigieuse école William Esper Studio, j’intègre le casting de la pièce à succès « Sleep No More », à Manhattan. De retour à Paris, je tourne dans des séries et des films. J’ai la chance de collaborer avec des réalisateurs de renoms comme Xavier Beauvois ou Gaspard Noé.
En mars 2016, je poursuis, parallèlement à mon métier d’acteur, mes envies d’aventures, en traversant en solitaire l’Islande du Nord au Sud.”
“My name is Allan Asle. I am an actor and an adventurer. I grew up in the heart of the Swiss Alps, in Villars- sur- Ollon, settled at 1300 meters of altitude.
With a passion for extreme sports, as a teenager I joined the Swiss freestyle ski team. At 18 I did my Swiss military training as an explorer within the elite troop. The following year I obtained my pilot’s license and from that grew my love of the sky. Later that same year , I embarked on a new journey, to New York, where I studied theater which has since become an additional passion of mine. Four years later, after graduating from the prestigious William Esper Studio, I joined the cast of a successful play called “Sleep No More” in Manhattan. Since moving back to Paris, I now take part in TV series and films and have had the opportunity to collaborate with famous directions including Xavier Beauvois and Gaspard Noé.”
L’EXPEDITION
Le pôle Sud en solitaire
“J’ai développé une fascination pour les régions polaires. C’est avant tout une question d’émotion, un bouillonnement de vie qui s’échappe de mes tripes. Un sentiment qui se trouve à mi-chemin entre la peur et l’explosion de bonheur. J’aime comparer l’expédition polaire à une partition de musique classique; des dizaines d’instruments s’accordent pour créer une harmonie parfaite. Le vent, le néant blanc, le bruit de la neige sous les skis, les pensées qui résonnent, les doutes à haute voix, les petites victoires exprimées en sifflant et toutes les notes sur ces pages glacées, me font danser et vibrer. Le pôle Sud est pour moi une quatrième dimension, un monde à part. J’ai doucement dirigé ma vie vers ce challenge qui me dépasse mais me correspond par la même occasion. Mes expéditions passées m’ont appris, étonnamment, qu’un objectif difficile était plus facile à atteindre qu’un objectif facile. J’ai une grande admiration pour les pionniers qui se sont aventurés sur ce continent. Et si me rendre au pôle Sud me permet de suivre leurs pas, j’espère aussi trouver une partie de leur courage pour à mon tour, inspirer.”
“I have developed a fascination for the polar regions. They make me feel a powerful range of emotions, of fear and exhilaration, all of which I feel in the very pit of my stomach. For me a polar expedition becomes a classical music sympathy; dozens of instruments coming together to create the perfect harmony. The wind, the emptiness, the sound of snow crackling under one’s skis, the echoing of thoughts in one’s head, the doubts expressed aloud, the small victories sung through whistling. All these notes written across these icy pages, make me dance and feel alive. The South Pole is for me, a third dimension, a world apart. I have slowly directed my life towards this challenge, a challenge which both overwhelms and sustains me. Surprisingly, my previous expeditions have taught me that the more difficult the objective, the easier it is to achieve. I have a great admiration for the pioneers who have ventured across this continent, and I hope that by following in their footsteps, I too will find their courage and, in turn, inspire others.”
